Are we gonna each pick a player to White Knight/steel man again this year?

Cam Smith says the biggest thing he picked up in spring training was asking questions and learning from vets.

Does that include the postseason when he crushes LA in the big rematch? Walker loves pummeling Doyer pitching.tjack16 said:
Walker is going to go 30 HR 90 RBI this year

Aren't you the guy who predicts McCullers hurt every year?

It's a pretty safe bet

Finally made the switch from YouTube TV to Fubo, so now I can get Space City Network. Infuriating the hoops you have to jump through to watch the Astros in San Antonio.
Well done OG. #1 is my favorite negative prediction ever. The Original Houston 1836 said:
1-3 Bold Predictions (Negative):
1) Altuve tries to climb the wall in left on Opening Day and falls through one of the number slots in the scoreboard and can't be found for 4 hours.
2) Adolis Garcia's head explodes when trying to put on his batting helmet in the on-deck circle at Daikin Field and several Astros fans are rushed to the ER from the shrapnel of bone fragments and brain matter
3) McCullers has more new commercials (2) than wins (0) this year
I had Dubon, I'm over it, but I damn sure ain't taking ChazMAROON said:linkdude said:

Beat40 said:I'm assuming in your scenario Dezenzo is also on the team. The reports have been the decision has ultimately been between Dezenzo and Smith, so if that's the case, Dezenzo deserves it more than Smith in my opiniion.AggiEE said:Beat40 said:
The kid has only had 32 ABs at AA and not played much RF.
You want that guy to start at RF for a team that can win the division and has goals of winning a WS because he had a good spring training against pitchers that aren't even Nestor Cortez?
Is the majors where you want him working on things if he hits a slump? Because you have to decide how long you're going to let him slump at the ML level if you have him there before moving him down. Is that 2 weeks? 3? 4?
You have other options, and it feels like forcing something you don't need to force while taking the chance you don't mentally make things harder for him by not being able to work the failure at the appropriate level.
Yes, give him a shot. He's exceeded all expectations in ST.
He deserves it
Our other options are poor. Singleton? Hummel? No thanks
Alex Bregman went 19-for-124 (0.153) in his first 30 games, and that's with 314 ABs between AA and AAA. You said if Smith isn't doing great, just send him back down. Again, my question is how long are you willing to ride around a 0.200 average run from Smith, who has just 32 ABs at the AA level, if the Astros start as they did last year in Mar/Apr/May (0.431 winning %)?

I want Caratini again. I had no idea who he was until the day before the season started but he was bad ass.MAROON said:linkdude said:
