1) As I said above, Altuve finds joy in the game learning to play outfield and the up close and personal involvement with opposing fans juices his batting average on the road.
2) Cam Smith is in the top 3 for ROY voting.
3) Astros finally figure out how to hit with the new batter's eye in Daikin and have a better record at home than on the road.

1) Chas proves that 2023 was the outlier and 2024 is closer to the norm, spends significant time in the minors trying to get it figured out before being a minor trade piece at the deadline for a left handed center fielder.
2) Christian Walker doesn't stay healthy for long and his oblique issues hold him back, making us wish we still had the Human Bat Flip around as a reasonably disciplined LHH at 1B.

I'm surprised more hitters haven't tried this approach. You obviously need a VERY quick bat to ensure you can catch up with heaters but more importantly it allows you to make contact with breaking pitches before the ball can completely "break."
