It's major league baseball's version of the flop/charge. I hate it. Granted, I played every position except catcher growing up, but these guys are so easily fooled by framing.

What is it with crappy mediocre catchers just totally dominating and ****ting all over this team?

We've lost so many games due to the other teams catcher just going off. It's annoying

It's also one thing if he called a few balls located in the same general area strikes, but in the last two innings he gave a super low strike three against Taveras, an outside strike three to Seager, and a high strike three to Smith. That's a huge zone expanded in all areas

That's so much worse because he's been used to not having that much pressure because he can just be overruled on a challenge. It's a lot different feeling when your decisions are final.

Just a weird game. Blue was awful, had a lot of base runners but couldn't get them home. Then throw in the random game where a bad catcher single handily beats us.

Seemingly every oakland loss ( Langeliers)

The langeliers crap is on our pitching / coaching staff. They have to know the dude is from Keller and eager to put on a show for his family. Should've walked him after the first home run he hit on us.

There might be more terrible catcher dominance at our expense that I am not listing here tho.

According to this, 25% of the HRs allowed this season have been to Carchers. Catcher isn't exactly known as a power hitting position these days.

To expand on this: exactly 25% (15 of 60) of the home runs allowed by the Rangers this season have come from catchers.

This is an absurd stat in my mind lol.

On the game as a whole last night, that umpire was horrendous. Truly Angel Hernandez level bad, however, we out hit them 8-4 and Seager/Semien had 4 of the 8, while the bottom of the lineup did their thing as well. This team is just a black hole at the 3/4/5 spots unless Adolis has his head out at the moment, and it is absolutely killing the run scoring. Grossman and Heim need to be nowhere near the 3 and 5 spots, plus Adolis is now batting .231 on the season.
