The stars season is over and schools out now. The team is starting to get some guys back and play better so hopefully we see an uptick in interest in this thread.

Pitching matchups are kinda brutal this week. The skubal / Webb games should be really tough.

I know some of you probably find this dumb or not interesting, but I enjoy it and hopefully, others do, as well. For me, it helps compare where we are in the AL in terms of injuries, effectiveness, and quality SPs.

There are only 35 P who meet being qualified.

Rangers are at 59GP, thus 59.0 IP to Qualify. The rotation in order of next Start:
Eovaldi: 8GS, 2.84 ERA, 44.1 IP <- Would be 11th in AL if he gets 15.2, today
Dunning: 9GS, 3.94 ERA, 45.2 IP <- Would be 26th in AL.
Urena: 5GS/15G, 3.74 ERA, 45.2 IP <- Would be 25th in AL

F: Lorenzen: 9GS, 2.96 ERA, 54.2 IP <- Would be 12th in AL. Will need 5.1+4= 9.1 IP in next GS
S: Heaney: 11GS/12G, 3.99 ERA, 56.1 IP <- Would be 26th in AL. Will need 3.2+5= 8.2 IP in next GS

IL: Gray: 10GS/11G, 2.21 ERA, 57.0 IP <- Would be 5th in AL. Could be back Friday and needs 2.0 IP to qualify.

Gray's IL stint was positioned as mostly precautionary and he could be available Friday. I suspect the Rangers could slow his return if we continue to win, just to be protective.

With Gray (5th), Eovaldi (11th), and Lorenzen (12th), if the playoffs were to occur today, that wouldn't be a bad 3.

The pack of Dunning, Urena, and Heaney... would be right in the middle.

Not to say they are the starting lineup... just good to compare.

Team ERA for SP is 3.50 and ranks:
9th in MLB
6th in AL (NYY 2.78 (1st), SEA 3.39 (5th), HOU 4.69(13th))
