Rangers have made the WS every time they've faced Tampa Bay to start the playoffs

That's pretty crazy.

No team has ever made the playoffs with a bullpen as bad as ours and we just made the mf World Series!!!
What's crazy is that the bullpen is looking quite strong. Yes, a few hiccups here and there, but much better than August and September!

Just a reminder of the sacrifice I made for last night's game.

A sacrifice I will NOT make on Friday.

Just like yesterday, I still have a stupid grin on my face I can't seem to get rid of.

Now it's time to exercise our NL demons. I feel like we always struggle against the NL.

Time for a 3 day break. My brain needs a rest and I need to get to bed before 1 AM.

We really need to get the title this year. Nobody thought outside the locker room thought we'd get there, but here we are. No telling how long Bochy will stay.

The AL is going to be brutal for years to come. Our window is just opening, but windows are wide open for Houston, Baltimore, Toronto, probably Tampa, probably Minnesota are all going to be really good for a while. And in case we forgot about them, Boston and NYY won't share last place for long.

I'd argue Houston's window is closing. They're about a year away.

Brantley, Neris and Maldonado are UFAs this off aeaosn. Then Live, Bregman and Pressley the next. And they are getting older.

And their farm system is badly depleted. They'll be competitive again next year, but I think they'll start declining in 2 years.

One of the Astros guys in the trash can debacle was interviewed and said he got a Full Share of playoff bonus... said it was about $400k?!

Just sayin'...

It depends on how hard their management is willing to hit the free agency market. They traded away some of their minor league talent, and their overall minor league system isn't highly rated with talent (lower half at least). As their star players get older, it will be interesting to see if they pay up for free agents to keep the window open or focus on rebuilding their overall system.

I was in a sports bar in Atlanta last night filled with mostly Braves fans. All were rooting mightily for the Rangers. I was treated like a visiting head-of-state. Pretty fun, lol.

I'll believe it when I see it. They've lost in this round before. I expect them to be back next year.

That's one of the most painful slow-mo shots I've seen.

At least since Shin-Soo Choo took one on the forearm and you saw the shockwaves go through his bone and you had no doubt it was a fracture.

The Rangers have lost every World Series game I've been to. So as much as I would love to be there in person, I'm gonna sit this one out and watch from home.

If you have a chance to go, you should go. All that is just made up nonsense.

Agreed. Wins and losses are determined by the players, not which fans are at the game. Go if you can!

Went to the Astros thread specifically to see the reactions during France's inning. Was not disappointed.

I really hope I get the chance to take my boys to a game. I'm cheap and have a hard time paying that much money for tickets, but I think I could get past that in order to make a memory I'll never forget.

2010 I was still in school. 2011 I was broke due to only being a few months out of school on my own.

Ok, I posted about this during game 5. I'm not superstitious in life, except for baseball. But especially for Rangers and Aggie baseball. I'm like legit hardcore about it. Call me over the top and call me guarding my heart because of 2011, but I didn't watch at all tonight. Ya, I know we lost, but we did all of our great things after I stopped watching. So naturally, I didn't watch tonight. In fact, I only checked the score once tonight, bottom 1 and there was 1 out and a runner on second.

It breaks my Rangers soul to say this, but I will not watch tomorrow night's…err tonight's game. (Things reset on a new series btw!) I may not be as legit as Mr. Gig 'Em's rally brisket (BROTHA YOU BETTER BE SMOKIN ANOTHER ONE!!!), but I'm headed to the ****ter for our boys.

Today is my parents' 41st anniversary. My Dad is the one who taught me everything about baseball and the Rangers. And I just had back surgery 4 days ago and still hurt like ****, so maybe the baseball gods, just maybe, will smile upon us.

No matter what, what a freaking season. What a wild, incredible ride! Oh and **** the Astros.

Rangers. Over. Everyone.

We did it!! And, you're welcome!

Their farm team is rated dead last in baseball. They are the only MLB team without a single top 100 prospect.
