WRT the Sborz question on the previous thread...

He shows as having zero left on this site:

And I have seen several writers mention he cannot be sent down. Ergo, Rangers waive hism, like the A's did Pache, then work out a trade with whoever is interested.

Agreed. Team is definitely improved, just a matter of how much. But ownership stepping up the past two off-seasons brings more hope for the future. If we can stay healthy (relatively, no major injuries), we can at least compete for a wild card spot.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Bless Jacob deGrom and his right appendage. Keep it healthy so he can make 30+ starts this season, and allow him to strikeout any foe. Let the middle infield turn double plays and combine to hit 60+ homers, and lastly let Josh Jung compete to win the AL rookie of the year. Let Bruce Bochy guide us to your promised land…OCTOBER! AMEN!

I wasn't doubting your info. And I did see a tweet that indicated he didn't have one left.

It was more a commentary about my point back on the Option/DFA comments. I STILL got it wrong after double checking Sborz. LOL.

I think we win about 88 games this year. An improved team that went 15-35 in 1 run games last year. If we just go .500 in those games we're looking at 10 more wins last year. The Rangers will be in contention for a wild card spot this year of the rotation can stay healthy.

The two areas that I am most worried about heading into this season are bullpen and infield defense. I think that bullpen is average as the day is long. They have hardly any velo outside of Johnathan Hernandez. The good thing is that they can go out and get bullpen guys at any time.

The infield defense, especially on the left side has me worried. Seager is an average at best defensive short stop, and Jung profiles as an average third baseman, especially from an arm strength perspective. It will really help to have Smith and Duran on the team because I think of both of them as plus fielders, especially in the infield.
