Baseball question: Can someone answer why TF Dusty 1) brought France out and 2) left him in for so long when he clearly didn't have it?

That dude played 150 games, batted .315, led the league in doubles, hit 38 HR, drove in 128, and retired at age 40 in 2016 after a 20 year career. Absolute beast. He must be out of his mind watching Alvarez and Garcia rake like that.

I can't sleep. I've watched every post game show, listened to Diamond Talk, and rewatched our big offensive innings and the 9th inning. Love it!

Rangers are AL champs! Who would've thought after Friday's gutting loss. I, and I believe many others, were in a deeeep pit of despair after that one. This team is so resilient. 4 more to go!

Man….I'm not going to lie it feels so good.
I didn't think we would be in the ALCS this year or the World Series, but here we are. It also feels good to end the Astros season and deny them another championship. I have nothing against garden gnome, bregsy, and Alvarez. They're all great players. Players we would love if they were rangers.
My ire is directed at the fans of the Astros thread who rag on us every chance they get. They told us we would always suck. They told us we would never win anything. They told us to "hang the banner" after sending 6 guys to the all star game. They told us that TB would destroy us. They told us that Baltimore would sweep us. They told us that the Astros would be celebrating their American League championship trophy on our field and in our locker room.
Well…. Turns out we get to celebrate on their field, in their locker room, and in their city.
Suck on that Astros lurkers.

Bruce Bochy looks like one of my American history instructors. But he is much more than that. Maybe another World Series winning manager in just a few days,
So it may behoove people to just wait and pick up singles on the secondary market. I have tickets for Game 1 and 5, but I plan on selling both pairs, going to game and buying on StubHub around first pitch.Mr Gigem said:

I think it was Brown pitching before France? But the guy was doing okay. He wasn't tired and was throwing pretty good pitches. And Baker was totally unprepared for France when he was ineffective.
At some point in the game, first base was open. And they pitched to Garcia? He punished that decision of course.

Congrats on a great AL championship! Rangers are best team in league for just about entire year, so well deserved.
Hitting was expected, but pitching has been fantastic!

It amuses me how many "I'm rooting for the Rangers to win it all" from fans that are very obviously not rooting for the Rangers to win it all.
They said this team couldn't win even 80 games, they were wrong
