What?? Grossman is one our best hitters against LH pitching. He's terrible against righties though. You have to play him against lefties.

I"d imagine there will be mutual interest. He is 30 and a Boras guy. I think Boras has been known to go 3 yrs with a 31 year old in hopes of getting one final big contract at 32-33 for 5 years.

St Louis could be a contender.

It'd be interesting to see how he feels he fits the team.

We have:
Scherzer: $43M
Heaney: Likely $20M <- It's why I think we could trade Heaney
Eovaldi: $17M
Gray: $14M + 2025-26 <- long-term and cheap = tradeable
Dunning - Arb1 <- Cheap
Bradford/White - Serf
deGrom - mid year: $37M for forever

I would argue we need 2-3 more in Spring Training. If we could get a couple retread TJs FA for 2 years and take a flyer...

I'd sign Montgomery and trade Heaney (paying up to $7M) and/or Gray.
