They were the better team. Will be interested to see what Dana does and who our new manager will be. I still think the window is open but next year might be the last year so maybe we get spendy knowing that

Interesting take. He was completely shook when the game was close and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, then Stanek threw him a meatball in a game that was already over and he ran into one. Basically hit all night tonight with no pressure again and raked, along with the rest of their team.

Even our one home playoff win we almost blew and gave up a 4 spot. What a crap show

We need some new blood in the clubhouse to get their focus back at home next season. I think the old guard's style has gone stale

This was my first year lurking and then deciding to be a man and post my thoughts occasionally on this thread. It was a really tough year for me with some close family losses, but the Astros and this thread helped me get through the tough times of the summer. God bless you all, God bless the Astros, and I'm looking forward to discussing the offseason with my new favorite group of Aggies!

Sure. Corner outfields are usually cheaper tho. Between Chas, Dubon, & Jake we have guys who can properly cover CF.

You gotta keep,those two, we need Dubon for the infield if needed, interesting to see if we go for a lefty to play the outfield ? Or try to resign BrantLy? He was out a lot this year

Dusty's opening day centerfielder...did not play in the postseason

his lineups were a mess from game 1 to game 162 thru the ALCS

My off-season wish list that I'm sure I'll copy and paste onto the new thread

- re-sign Altuve and Bregman (if he's not too expensive)
- sign a good lefty bat or Lourdes Gurriel Jr
- sign at least 2 really good dependable arms. (Preferably one is a lefty reliever. We've been lacking that recently)

Can't really fault the offense tonight. We had just as many hard hit balls as the Rangers (15) with an xBA of .298 to the Ranger's .323. Game was close everywhere but where it mattered most. We had our chances, and even smoked some balls with a chance to drive in runs. Just couldn't get one to fall at the right time or find the right part of the park.

Now the pitching…that was a disaster.

Been lurking for a while now and I especially didn't want to post during the playoffs cus didn't wanna jinx but now that is over, im a little bummed out but I'm glad Dusty is finally gone! I'm excited for a new manager, new blood and hopefully gets these guys hungry again and start playing loose. I hate this business like quiet approach they have now.

It's been an interesting season y'all……..so much potential pissed away. Come back next year with a manager who has an IQ somewhere north of a farm animal, get Garcia and (fingers crossed) LMJ back, send Maldy to the rocking chair and let's do this thing again. Golden Era ain't dead yet.
