I will be 100% honest if we can get this to a game 6 and we are up 3-2, hell even if we're down 3-2, I am okay with Obese Framber pitching but the FIRST SIGN of trouble we pull him for France.
100% agree. Let him have it, but you see any of Framber's signs he's lost it (misplay grounder, a couple dink hits, etc.), he's gone.
I found his postgame comments interesting. He absolutely wasn't wrong that it was luck and lot of soft hits that found holes. But it shows that it's in his head and he's thinking about it when on the mound. Got to learn to let that **** go and move on.
a couple dink hits aren't signs of him "losing it" at all. If they are getting dink hits that tells me he has good stuff and is pitching well.
For most pitchers, I agree. But Framber tends to let those things get to him, first inning of game 2 is a perfect example. How many hard hit balls did they have in the first?
so basically you're saying if he doesn't throw no hit baseball he needs to be pulled??? He's a ground ball pitcher. People will get on base when he pitches. No need to overreact if they string a couple texas leaguers together on him.
He committed an error and had a string of texas leaguers that hurt him the other night. It happens. I agree he's a head case, but framber is always a ground ball away from getting out of an inning. He didn't get shelled, and he kept them in the game. He didn't help us, but he didn't lose that game for them team.
No, I'm not saying he has to have no hit baseball. It's the compilation of things that tends to blow him up. One hit, hard hit or a texas leaguer, ok, you're right, he's a double play away. But that second dink hit in a row seems to get to him.....then a grounder to him that he misfields, then makes a throwing error, etc.
I'm saying if he has the exact same inning he had in game 2, I'm pulling him after that third batter. Even though it could have easily been a 5 pitch inning.
I don't think it was the right time to pull him seeing as it was game 2. I was fine letting him go there. I don't think he deserves as long of a leash if we have a game 6.
