Them only needing 5 games total to get to the ALCS is helping them so much. Sets them up well for the ALCS not having to over use their best arms
Plus they probably get Scherzer back

We'll see how good he is or how long he can actually go after a 5 week layoffMr.Ackar07 said:bearkatag15 said:

Don't think this going to be a one season ride for the O's. They need to find a couple of veteran guys that have been there and done that. Not necessarily high dollar free agents but sign guys like Brian McCann, Charlie Effin' Morton, Josh Redick, etc.BadAggie said:
Well congrats to Baltimore on their season, winning a division with the amount of money and bullshtt devoted to the Yankees and Red Sox every year, as well as solid competition from the Rays and Jays.
Uncle Mike would actually be a good fit for themjkag89 said:Don't think this going to be a one season ride for the O's. They need to find a couple of veteran guys that have been their and done that. Notice that Nervis got up today but wasn't brought in. Hopefully he shtt out whatever virus got ahold of him in game 1. Gonna need him.
Big appearance by Brother Phil, he's come a long way from losing a fight with his locker for a playoff roster spot.
Abreu. Lethal. Actually both Abreus were today.
Brown's appearance could've gone worse.
Didn't have to use Pressly and hey, Montero didn't give up any runs.

Imagine someone telling you in June that in October we would be gearing up for another JV day with a chance for him to help us advance to ALCS!

Berkman was a monster in the playoffs, he never got the hype, and his greatest moments were overshadowed, but he was always a bright spot. It's surprising to see him at the top, but not that he's on there.bearkatag15 said:Yo FanGraphs finally added Postseason leaderboards

So many Astros on this list. Berkman is pretty surprising at the top

Looks like Leclerc is the only reliever they can really trust right now. If the Stros get that far, it's really as simple as not letting all their starters go 6-7 innings.
