I am torn on Seattle today. Scott Service is an old school a-hole which would make you think it is going to do what ever he can to win just to prove that they didn't mail it in.

Would it be a better off-season sell to get Shohei if he can say we won the season series against the division winner?

For those saying the DBacks don't have anything to play for - If they win and Miami loses today and tomorrow, doesn't Arizona jump them?

Obviously these guys are professionals and don't want to lose BUT
The diamondbacks are better off losing
The Mariners don't have any motivation
IF the Rangers win and the Blue Jays lose it's better for the Astros to lose

If the Rangers are up big and the blue jays are losing late do we see a South Park game where the Astros and Diamondbacks are putting in the back of the bench?

Not only the much harder route but in throwing Dunning today on short rest, they really blow up what is left of their rotation for the WC. It's a bold move and if they lose today and we win it will explode in their faces.

Mia is not playing tomorrow. Also, I don't think there is much of an incentive to jump to the 5 seed. MIL/LA vs PHI/ATL

Seattle was an incredible 25-4 against the Royals, A's, Rockies, and White Sox --- the four teams that lost 100 or more games

the Mariners just feasted on the cupcakes

against the other 25 teams that had decent players and tried to win...

Seattle was only 62-70 --- which is not very good
