I'm more concerned with our pitching tonight and tomorrow. Baltimore has LOADS of hitters and lately we haven't been able to produce the offense to keep up with hitters.

7+ runs the past three games, only 1-2 to show though...gotta be better in clutch situations, both pitching and hitting

Welp, time to call up Julks

I know this was the subject of some discussion when he was still rehabbing, but I continue to be a little puzzled by the soreness issue.

In normal situations I get that teams will be conservative with players and try to get/keep them near 100%. The old mentality of playing 162 and grinding through bumps and bruises is no longer en vogue.

However, I get the sense that Brantley is in a place near the end of his career where his shoulder is what it is. If people involved in decision making truly think that with more time it will fully recover or that he is at risk of worse injury, then I get it.

But I get the feeling like we are near the point of play and give what you can through soreness and then retire when it becomes too much. It doesn't seem like the soreness affects his quality of play - he was hitting the ball at AAA during previous assignments only to be shutdown again for soreness.

Is there really a point of nursing the shoulder along at this point (1.5 years after injury and almost a year since surgery)? After this much time, it just seems like a chronic situation that he has to deal with or retire. I just am not sure what this rest/recover plan is targeting as it doesn't seem like a clean bill of health and a worry-free shoulder is in the cards.

On the other hand if the 'Stros win and if it is a decisive victory, we will definitely question what took you so long to take in a game at MM. Alas, what could have been if only agproducer had made his way to the old ballpark earlier and with some frequency this season. Would we have already clinched? Would this series against the O's be for home field in the ALCS? Why oh why did agproducer let us all down?

Bout the same. I started with the game where they shelled Gausman in April, saw some more good wins, then was at two of the Yankees' sweep and the JV A's game. Hopefully tonight changes it.

I'm 2-0 with combined score 26-4

This was a rough stretch for me… followed by the 6-2 A's loss

Interesting little note......

If you place the players at the position they've played the most ( Dubon at 2nd, Chas and Meyers in CF and Yordan and Brantley in LF ) ....the catching position leads the team in home runs, Did not see that coming
