I would hope so. I just see Dusty wanting to let the pitchers work through situations, which is great when you have a ten game lead or have the division wrapped up.

He was doing a slight double clutch when he threw heater. He didn't do it when he threw breaking ball.

Last I checked, old school managing meant not giving your best players every 4th game off. You rolled with your studs.

That's the part that doesn't make sense

C'mon, team that just lost two series in a row to the two worst teams in baseball wasn't going to win against a good club tonight.

If Crane can't figure a way out of a rogue employee screwing up regardless of contract or if he thinks it's fine then he can enjoy not making the postseason.

It's actually pretty embarrassing that 2 out of 3 of the Astros, Rangers and Mariners are going to make the playoffs.

Rangers have 5 games left against Red Sox and Angels.

Mariners have 2 more v As after they beat them tonight.

They have 7 then v each other, sure, no guarantee that goes the way the Astros need it to.

Astros just lost two series to the two worst teams in baseball.

Lost a winnable game tonight with two of their top 6 batters on the bench.

Dusty is shtting all over the team and it's like, oh we have such bad luck.

This ineptitude just raises the stakes for the Seattle series. Not hard to see an outcome where Seattle and Arlington make it in and Astros do not.

Such an effing waste

I rewatched the top of the 9th to look for Presley tipping. I didn't see anything as far as tipping goesnot saying he wasn't, just nothing my untrained eye saw in real time. But, all the hits were pitches over the middle of the plate. He wasn't particularly sharp on his breaking stuff and too many pitches were over the fat part of the plate

I just find it odd what players fans decide take out their frustrations. Tuck gets raked over the coals for his 9th inning AB while not a peep about Chaz.. At least Tuck put the ball in play and at least a few here believe it was enough to get Myers home. Love Chaz but his 9th inning AB was brutal.

it may be in the Astros' best interest if one team (Seattle or Texas) dominates the 7 upcoming games...5-2 or 6-1

so the 'stros can slide into the last wildcard...and take their chances from there

Guessing it would be Rangers if Astros get worked in Seattle. But then need to win against Royals and DBacks

Yup and we've needed every one of them. Tuck has done his part this season, but for us to go anywhere he is gonna have to carry us at that level he played for most of the season up until these last few weeks.

The good news is that he is that good and I believe in him and we know he is capable. Not like we are saying Pena has to be 2022 playoff Pena because that is quite unlikely
