We keep getting bailed out by other teams losing too, but that is no f'ing way to go into the post-season even if we make it

Not to be "that guy," but maybe we're using up all our bad luck now and will crush it in the playoffs.

So how many team meetings is enough?

There have been lots & lots of bad at-bats this season. Abreu has had more than his share. For Maldy, it's regular. Even Alvarez has looked foolish on a number of occasions.
But, I think the worst one of all occurred last night when Altuve popped up that bunt late in the game. Just terrible.

Remember when we played our best lineup Sunday against the padres and scored 12 runs….. then we haven't seen it since

Another data point for why team meetings are pointless.
After all the talk behind closed doors we just saw Altuve and Bregman combine for maybe their worst joint effort? Certainly for this year
The bunt just a shade under Schwaber stupidity and another thing getting lost in that clustereff is what was Maldy still doing out on the base paths after his double?
This is how you know Dusty is mostly checked out at this stage. He had an opportunity to pinch run and harken back to his old school days and get a little chubby playing small ball and…nothing
Good question... let's find out.FrioAg 00 said:
Yeah, but we're any of them this cold in September?
It's not that uncommon for a team right on the edge to get hot and win it. But we are showing no signs of getting hot.
"Worst Effort" as in they're not trying or just sucking?Boiling Denim said:

Thanks - at least there are 4-5 examples of teams about where we are at who got it together, that's encouraging
But 4-5 in the past 50 years isn't many
