Yeah, his 2 H 0 ER line on Sunday was very concerning.

you are correct, he did hit 3 and threw 98 pitches


He has tap danced out of some danger the last few outings. In his last 3 he has an ERA of 2.25 but is giving up 1.4 walks+hits per inning
Not sure dominant Verlander is still a possibility...he is going to have to become more crafty...but he throws right-handed, so he can't be crafty. Ever hear of the right-handed equivalent???


Does Greg Maddux know that??
Never heard him referred to as crafty...it's an adjective reserved for southpaws as far back as I can remember. Maddux already has something named for him...complete game under 100 pitches is referred to as a Maddux now


Well, you're the 1st person I've encountered that held that belief in my 44 years of life….so, by your definition, I guess he wasn't "crafty."

I'll side with the countless people (including myself) who referred to him as crafty throughout his career.
My point is that when you hear a broadcaster giving a scouting report on a pitcher...you always hear, "well Tim Smith is in his second year with the Sox, and the crafty left-hander is having a fine season so far"....

i NEVER hear them say "crafty right-hander"...pretty sure Blum has mentioned this on the broadcast or his podcast as well...i'll drop it now....not trying to start anything
