so Singleton at first base
looks like the Astros are committed to rotating the position going forward

According to the Gospel of Dusty, JV is a fly ball pitcher and Dubon has a better arm than Meyers, and as a result he's better equipped to keep the opposition from going 1st to 3rd.ClickClack said:
Can someone explain the Dubon "personal centerfielder" for Verlander thing?

Dusty just has this gut feeling that Dubon plays better when JV pitches. Something about this one time they went on a fishing trip together and Dubon helped JV reel in this monster Marlin. Also Diaz doesn't hit lefties well so that means you really need Dubon in center.
I don't ****ing know.
It's as much that Meyers is prone to mental errors, throwing to the wrong base and sort of double clutching throwing.bearkatag15 said:Mathguy64 said:According to the Gospel of Dusty, JV is a fly ball pitcher and Dubon has a better arm than Meyers, and as a result he's better equipped to keep the opposition from going 1st to 3rd.ClickClack said:

I agree that Dubon has a better arm than Meyers. Meyers has a noodle arm
Dusty Baker said Michael Brantley could meet the Astros in Boston but a decision hasn't been made about a next step for him: "We'll just have to wait and see how he feels."

While dubon is better than Meyers. Chas is better than both and Yordan won't lose you a game by being in left.
So Yordan in left, Chas in CF and Tucker at RF. Diaz DH

Wow. Just woke up this morning and realized how awful dusty baker is for this team. Third ****ing place you ****ing loser. **** you dusty baker. **** you.
You okay dude?
What's funny about all of these Dusty rants is that it's almost like Pavlovian response at this point. As maddening as Dusty can be at times, this team has had deeper issues than Dusty. Two starting pitchers out for the year. Brantley out. Bregman just average. Abreu struggling. It's a host of issues. Is Dusty a wizard? Heck no. But the team is just not as strong overall.

We need Yordon to work it out and get back to himself over the next month
It's honestly amazing the offense is still scoring this many runs a couple of times a week while he is slumping like this
