Getting back Brantley would be huge, imagine batting orders without Maldy or Meyers.

Even if on part time starting basis, that's one more experienced hitter (.360+ OBP with the Astros) opponents have to face.

So if we don't win the division. Which is more advantageous to us? The 5 or 6 seed?

#5 has to go to Tampa, and is matchup up with Baltimore in the ALDS.

#6 has to go to Minnesota, and is matched up with Seattle in the ALDS.

At this point I think it's a very long shot Javier in the top 3 of the postseason rotation.

It's Verlander, Framber, & Brown. I lean France over Javier or Urquidy for #4. It's probably on hands on deck at that point anyway.

What's funny about all of these Dusty rants is that it's almost like Pavlovian response at this point. As maddening as Dusty can be at times, this team has had deeper issues than Dusty. Two starting pitchers out for the year. Brantley out. Bregman just average. Abreu struggling. It's a host of issues. Is Dusty a wizard? Heck no. But the team is just not as strong overall.
