He's a multimillionaire, he can afford comfortable well fitting dress shoes.
It certainly did wonders for Abreu.texasaggie2015 said:
Ex-White Sox reliever Keynan Middleton rips club's 'no rules' culture - ESPNReliever Keynan Middleton who was traded by the Chicago White Sox last week told @JesseRogersESPN that there are no rules in the White Sox clubhouse and rookies are sleeping during games, players miss meetings and practices, and "there are no consequences for any of this stuff."
— Daniel Greenberg (@ChiSportUpdates) August 7, 2023
I remember alluding to this when we were discussing trade candidates on the White Sox. I think a lot of those players will do very well once they get a change of scenery and culture. I haven't heard a single good thing about that organization, clubhouse and culture.

The Guardians have claimed outfielder Ramon Laureano off waivers from the A's.

So does this mean that Maldy is statistically the worst defensive catcher to go along with the worst offensive catcher?

A tweet from Chandler about Dusty and Biden.
Quote:
Fielding Run Value is Statcast's metric for capturing a player's measurable defensive performance by converting all of Statcast's individual defensive metrics from different scales onto the same run-based scale, which can then be read as a player being worth X runs above or Y runs below average. Currently, the conversions for those metrics are as follows. (Unless otherwise noted, all metrics are available since 2016.)
- Outs Above Average (range): 1 out = .9 run (OF) // 1 out = .75 run (IF)
- Fielder Throwing Runs: 1 run = 1 run
- Catcher Blocking: 1 block saved= .25 run (available 2018-pres).
- Catcher Framing: 1 strike saved = .125 run
- Catcher Throwing: 1 SB prevented = .65 run

That Kessinger metric strikes me as off. He's played very little and in a single play made a game losing throw.
Jon Singleton tells me he's heading to Baltimore where he'll be called up to play for the Astros for the first time since 2015. #astros

Okay. Missed that.
Jon Singleton's 163 wRC+ with Sugar Land ranks 2nd among PCL hitters with at least 140 PAs. Nolan Jones, who ranks first, has had a 116 wRC+ in the Majors with Colorado this season. Singleton has better batted ball data and a worse Triple-A BABIP. He can help!
