I've actually been told the likely plan for catcher next year will be Diaz and Salazar. The organization loves Salazar's game calling behind the plate. I could see a 65/35 split with Diaz DHing when he's not catching.

I realize there are enough candidates to remove to make room. If they were going to bring up Salazar, they could have announced both at the same time since he's already on the 40 man. Still might I guess, but seems like if whoever they bring up is already on the 40, they would have announced at the same time. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it since it's an off day.
