Angels (50-48) win again --- not trading Ohtani yet
Really hope the Angels don't make a trade,

How was the show? Looking forward to seeing it.Beau Holder said:
Got out of Oppenheimer in time to see Tuck's last homer and Pressly's 100th save. 10/10 night all around.

Saw Oppenheimer last night also. Was a FANTASTIC movie
I just hope if they make a trade the team that gets him has to sell the farm and the future...I'm not worried about the Angels doing anything with the talent they acquire, heck, they've had two superstars for how long with absolutely NOTHING to show for it.Farmer1906 said:Wabs said:Mathguy64 said:They are in no man's land. Same. A trade only benefits our potential opponents. Plus it helps restock the Angels farm.

Sources: The Giants are among the teams evaluating Justin Verlander as a trade deadline candidate, should he become willing to waive his no-trade clause. @MLBNetwork @MLB

Astros PSA- If anyone is interested in Astros Gold Merchandise the jerseys and hats are on sale at the outfield store at MinuteMaid. The men's jerseys have been dropped down to $75 and were previously $175. There is still a good selection.

Can't remember if I mentioned here or not but the Astros are among those teams that have inquired

Alright here we go fellas… some new scoop. Again, this is just what I'm hearing so don't blast me or anything.
I talked to one source last night (the same who told me that there's a "less than 1% chance Tucker re-signs" during spring training). He said he still believes the chances are the same and that nothing has changed.
I asked my other source about that and he said that's probably true but if Dana Brown can make good moves and leave a good impression on Crane, there's an outside chance Dana could be able to convince Crane to open up the checkbook and give him a long contract. Tucker wants a lot of years and Crane won't go over 5. That's just his thing. I asked this source about the sour grapes involved and he said money talks. Which is true.
My takeaway is it's very unlikely but not entirely impossible either. Definitely not getting my hopes up.

I'd offer Tucker the 10 year 300 MM deal.
He would be 37 when it ends

I'd probably do that. Think Tucker would take it?

If it's something you trust and believe in, pay them to their mid 30s. That might be 2-3 years or 10 years.
I don't see how a player like Ohtani is even tradable. The amount of resources a potential trade partner would have to relinquish with no gaurantee they will be able to sign him after the seaon seems insurmountable.Wabs said:Really hope the Angels don't make a trade,Mathguy64 said:They are in no man's land. I think you need to go 350/10 to move the needle on Tucker. Ohtani is about to set a massive bar and if atucker waits out the next 2 years 350/10 will not be a crazy or unusual number for players like him.

We should give this Alvarez kid a chance on the big league squad. I think he might be able to help us out.
