Do you think it matters at all that Dana Brown is here now, versus the regimes of Luhnow/Click? Or is it more than he would be soured on the organization in general

I wouldn't give any of the pitchers a deal through age 38 season. I'd definitely do it for Yordan and probably would for Ted. I could go either way on Altuve/Bregman.

I know that none of them wear it to support the teams, but that's not the point. I don't like those two teams getting their brand out world wide no matter the reason

I would do Tucker only.

We have Yordan & Javier until 2028 already. I think thru age 32 for Yordan is enough for both.

I really want to do Altuve, but that's a lot to sink into someone so old. I am torn here.

Its a no on Bregman & Framber.

It's a little bit of both. Some has to do with the way the Astros treated his brother. I have no details on what went down but I'm just passing along what I heard. There's some other things too that I don't know enough about to share because I would hate to give bad info.

Also, some has to do with the Astros very likely not matching the highest offer out there. Some has to do with the prospects that will be ready by then.

I've been told there's a "less than 1% chance" he comes back.

That said, things can change.. but that's where we're at as it stands right now.

I would love to make Altuve a lifelong Astro, but this recent string of injuries is really making me think about it.

Just depends on the cost. I would hate seeing him in another uniform, but if his health is a concern and we have guys waiting in the wing it's just something I'll have to deal with. It sucks but.. it's business.

IMO he still has about 4 good years left. And I don't think he would be all that "expensive" given his age.

4 years 80 MM or something along those lines would be well worth it IMO. That would take him through age 39 and I think if at least 2 of those years are productive then it's worth it.

Which at the end of the day wasn't a big deal and was essentially erased from history.

At the end of the day, I just want to win. If Altuve gives us the best chance when that time comes, let's roll.

Altuve strikes me as a guy that wouldn't necessarily chase the most money, but I hope that doesn't mean the Astros try to really low ball him.

I think a deal with Tuve gets worked out this offseason.

I think 2-3 year deal with some vesting options for an additional 1-2 years.
