the Astros and Orioles have zero playoff history...and basically zero rivalry and so forth
a series vs. Baltimore would be a chance to add another franchise / team to the victims list or haters list

I brought this up a day or two ago, but this is pretty important - I think.W said:
strange numbers
Chas' exit velocity seemed fine on the game-winning hits the past 2 days

It's funny, I think Chas is a good player and he's been valuable for Houston. But the front office probably looks at stuff like this and thinks "yeah we can afford to lose that"

I've been reading way too much Chas to the Yankees bits.

The question is what are you giving up for Giolito? This is shaping up like a great sellers market because so few teams are out of it and several of those have nothing but hot garbage to trade. It's very likely someone else can beat any offer we make for an impactful player. They've already said they won't trade Gilbert for a rental but that may very well be the cost.
Is Premium restricted to Aggie sports only? If so I guess they have a point. Still, instead of weeping, wailing and gnashing one's of teeth to get the Astros thread off, why not just start one dedicated to the Rangers?Marvin said:
There was an Astros thread on Premium. I guess the Rangerettes cried until it was deleted. So pathetic…
They are trying so hard to be relevant. Look at us, look at us! See their all star voting as exhibit 1.
Yordan Alvarez has a bat and a helmet and will, at the very least, stand in the batter's box during José Urquidy's live batting practice session at Minute Maid Park. He only started taking overhand batting practice on Sunday.

José Urquidy is throwing a live BP at Minute Maid Park for the first time since he went on the IL on May 1.

Yordan Alvarez and Jeremy Peña, the latter of whom has missed the last four games with a stiff neck, are two of the hitters facing Urquidy.

Sounds like Yordan is only standing in, not swinging
José Urquidy said he threw 20 pitches and reached 94-95 mph during his live BP, and everything felt good. He’ll throw again on Thursday and after a few more sessions the Astros will determine a schedule for a rehab assignment, which could be during or after the All-Star break.

This a lineup I can live with. Still in minor shock that Chas is in there.EastCoastAgNc said:Happy 4th pic.twitter.com/HFD2v7lueM

Day game after a long roadtrip? Don't hate this at all.
Yordan Alvarez said he’ll still go to Seattle for the All-Star game even though he won’t play. After the break, the Astros will decide about a minor-league rehab assignment.
