The Yankees have 2 more wins than the Astros....and are in last place at 9.0 games out of first. Could be worse!

I wonder if the Astros are going to give us any information on Brantley or is he just going into the black hole?

So everyone place their bets.
MB comes back:
1. In 2 weeks or less
2. Sometime in June.
3. Before LMJ
4. Sometime in August
5. Never. He's done and retires.

Could it be he wasn't really ready but couldn't stay at the rehab assignment. I don't recall what the game limit is.
Brantley's last game for Sugar Land was 5/6 in Albuquerque. They played again 5/7, had an off day, and headed home for the next week. Maybe they wanted Brantley to take a shorter flight to LA and be with the team trainers instead of returning to Houston/SL for a few more and then to Chicago? Just spitballing here.spadilly said:Farmer1906 said:

20 days for non-pitchers (30 for pitchers). He started his assignment on April 23, so today is/would be day 20. So strange.
I'm on team vague. He plays before Lance. Since I don't expect Lance to pitch before the ASB that gives me a lot of room to play with.Farmer1906 said:Mathguy64 said:

I choose optimism. Less than 2 weeks.

Maybe he punched the pitch clock and broke his hand.

He was taking batting practice with the ML club and hitting it out of the park a week ago.Phrasing said:
Wasn't it just like a week ago that they announced Altuve was taking ground balls but wasn't swinging a bat yet? Might be getting our injured players confused though. Whatever - great news and hope he makes it back ASAP. Would be crazy if he makes it back before Uncle Mike.

Nobody has produced more clutch hits recently than Yordan Álvarez. If not for injury, the Astros slugger could lay claim as MLB's best hitter. He might, anyway.
