You know, all things considered... If you would have told me in March we would be above .500 through April without Altuve, LMJ and Brantley and with Yordan out for the entire Tampa series, I would have absolutely taken it.

Forearm strain, to me, indicates muscle soreness. It could be tendon or ligament, though, I guess?

Rarely the actual muscles itself. Usually the tendon itself which has a poor blood supply. Even a low grade is considered a strain. But I'm not convinced that this is a tendon issue considering his history.

Think the long recovery has more to do with the timing rather than the injury.
It was early in ST so he didn't get the proper ramp up. So now he had to recover and go through that process.

Turns out his teammates don't like it either.
I actually went back and watched probably 15-20 of Abreu's ABs and I feel better about him long term. It's definitely a mechanical issue. He's opening up a bit too much and seems to be "in between" pitches so his timing is off. Those types of things are so difficult to fix during the season, but I do think he figures it out soon and starts raking.

Oh, random thought: I just watched the highlights from yesterday. Someone made a comment about how they aren't a fan of how infielders are taught to field ground balls after Bregman's ole. I can't imagine anyone teaches kids to field like that.
I'm sure Bregs thought he had it and was gonna make a flashy highlight play (which he is known for) and simply whiffed on the ball.
Yep. Not to mention that fielding that far to your left actually puts you in a worse position to throw the runner out as well. Fielding is not just about the current action but also how it transitions smoothly to the next action.redline248 said:

No clue. I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once.
This team is not forthcoming in their injury info. Ever.
That's their prerogative. They don't have to. Unlike the NFL that requires teams be more honest on things like injury lists due to all the betting.
