At some point he's going to go nuclear.linkdude said:
Good contact by Abreu. It's hard to turn on 98, but he got a solid swing to CF. 101 off the bat. Might as well start with that moving forward.
I'm quickly becoming old(ish) but the new way infielders are taught to play that ball is why that scores a run. In the old days that's off the legs / body / face if it misses the glove but stays close enough to prevent the run. Guess the downside is playing on the side let's the new guys make more plays than the classic get in front of the ball method. See also outfielders and the new 1 hand catch...f1ghtintexasaggie said:

Meanwhile Yuli is batting over .300 for the Marlins. Miss that dude!
Do you think Abreu or Mancini will end up having the better season?McInnis said:Strategy said:

Mancini is batting .261 with three home runs. Sure wish the Astros had kept that guy.

I hate that call on Jake. He didn't leave the box or make any unnatural move whatsoever. Never understood what the batter is supposed to do there -- he was still in the follow-through.

Someone is going to have to explain this one to me. JT was in the batters box while Jake took a normal swing.
