Dusty is going to fight for Julks. Go read Chandler's latest piece.Lonestar_Ag09 said:
It really doesn't matter what Julks is doing. He's going down when Brantley comes up in a week or two. Only way he stays is if they drop Salazar to keep him until Jose comes back and then Julks goes down.
There is nothing in the Astros or Dusty's history that would give reason to believe low man on the totem pole doesn't go down.
When we're back at full strength Dubon will go back to a rotation amongst infielders when they need off days. And the battle will continue for CF between Jake and Chaz which the latter better hurt and get healthy or Dusty will say I told you so and sit him with cause with the recent Meyers jolt
Oh, this is bad. Look at the Astros pitching stats in the first 22 games. Just horrible

Good morning to everyone but Atlanta, #ForTheA fans & anyone thinking the @astros were gonna roll over on this road trip. Far from it. They’re riding their brooms directly into Florida and they’re bringing their witch fest with them. #Ready2Reign 🔥🤘🏼#ad @MattressMakers @CramCrew pic.twitter.com/ASRDxUZeNU

there was a time in Biggio's career where he played more games at 2B, and not the outfield. point is if Julks keeps hitting and he wants to play more, and they need him to simply cause his bat he will see time in the OF. Dude is young and athletic. His ass better be getting work in in the outfield before games.texasaggie2015 said:
A reminder that Julks is not a center fielder. He played more games at third base in the minors than center field.

It definitely feels like Meyers is getting the Siri treatment right now. A lot of ABs so you can trade him. Of course he's also hitting .317 with an .817 OPS in April, so maybe you let him stick around and see if he's actually what Click thought he could be. He's raised his average 117 points in a week, going 10-for-22 with 4 runs scored and 6 RBI while batting either 8th or 9th is hard to ignore.Ag_07 said:
Trade him
Did they ever say anything about the blurred vision for Chas?Lonestar_Ag09 said:
**THIS IS NOT MY OPINION JUST AN OBSERVATION**
What leads you to believe Chas will replace Jake when he is healthy the way Jake is currently playing? What leads you to believe Dusty would immediately place Chas back in the starting lineup?
Bannon will go down when Chas is healthy. Explain to me how you play the following in 3 OF positions and DH:Project Gemini said:
Bannon, Salazar, and Hensley should go down
I agree that is what Dubon has done. My point is he is killing it right now so it would surprise me to see him flip to some time in CF when Jose is back.Project Gemini said:
Dubon plays mostly 2B and SS on days off for starters. Brantley doesn't see LF as much as you are assuming he does. Someone gets traded at some point. Not predictions, just my two cents.
I'm going to get flammed for this, but give me Altuve, Tucker, Bregman, Yordan.redline248 said:Bruh, I am in the choir to which you are preaching. I think now is another good time to make the case for Tucker to leadoff.
.419 on base %
Doesn't strike out much (~18% of ABs)
Draws walks
Steals bases (5 steals, no caught)
Can slug the ball for immediate pressure, same as Altuve and Springer
I'd rather tucker bat 2nd. He drives in so many runs and if Maldonado stays in the lineup then nobody would be on base for Kyle when he leads off.
I'd go Altuve, Tuck, Bregman, Yordan as my 1-4
Ultimately, I want Tucker and Yordan hitting in the top 3, but I guess if we also want to maximize the RLRL Having Yordan bat 4th is a solid scenario.
BUUUUUT...as Farmer points out, as long as Dusty has control of the pencil Tucker is stuck with limited ABs.
Lol that one pitch has to be the 1-0 pitch to Julks that was so far outside that the location wasn't recordered and yet it was a strikeProsperdick said:Umpire: Chris Segal

What a ****ing shocker. I'm so ready for robo-umps it's not funny.
There is a case to put Bregman between Tuck and Yordan b/c they would pretty much have to pitch to Bregman. Tuck gets on base, and everyone knows Bregman will not chase. Can't put 2 on in front of Yordan with walks.Beat40 said:I'm going to get flammed for this, but give me Altuve, Tucker, Bregman, Yordan.redline248 said:Bruh, I am in the choir to which you are preaching. My case: Tucker and Bregman are both top 10 in actual walks right now. They are top 15 in BB% - Tucker is walking at a 17.1% rate and Bregman at 16.5%.
I know part the goal is to have Yordan bat in the 1st inning, but I think with an order of Altuve-Tucker-Bregman-Yordan, he'd still bat quite a bit in the 1st inning, and I think would actually increase his opportunities to be batting with men on base.
