Wonder if ATT did something with audio this year or is it just me. The crack of the bat audio seems crisper, sharper.
It's still insane to me that Meyers started the 1st two games with Chas on the benchHarry Dunne said:

100.8 and was actually the only pitch over 100. The rest were rounded up.

Yeah like I said to the one remaining Meyers fan yesterday, I'm not ready to give up on him just yet but he needs to be in AAA rebuilding his confidence and/or trade value.redline248 said:It's still insane to me that Meyers started the 1st two games with Chas on the benchHarry Dunne said:

So when do we start the sub-thread monitoring Dubon's pursuit of a .400 batting average?
Yes, I hope MLB isn't treating this pitch clock thing as the Holy Grail to "saving the game". I like that the games are quicker, at least when I'm watching them on TV. But I don't know if I'm going to like as much if I'm in the stadium (haven't been to a game yet this season). We'll see if it draws more people to the ballpark. I have my doubts. You're spot on that they need to do massive fixes to their marketing strategy (or lack thereof). There are some really good, young players in the league that need to be household names.Beat40 said:
Not to bring the mood down, but I'm listening to Jet Passan on a radio show and they were discussing beer sales extending into the 8th inning. He is saying MLB is essentially banking on the pitch clock to bring in more casual fans to the games to make up for the decrease in the time of the game.
I actually don't mind the pitch clock, but I hate that MLB is treating it like some saving move for the game. Growth of the game will not come from the pitch clock. It will come from them deciding to get their heads out of their asses by doing some actual marketing and fixing blackout restrictions.
Feels like they're throwing buckets of water out of a boat that has a hole in it instead of fixing the hole.
Curious what pre-gaming events will come about.Wabs said:You knew it would happen with the shorter game times. Gotta make the $.k20dub said:
