You may want to dust off that resume and send one to Bjorkredline248 said:I sent Bill Byrne a resume in 2005 after one of Fran's humiliations. I was still in college. The Porkchop Express said:
Click's departure is the rare opportunity for all of the Board GM's to finally get an interview and tell Jim how they'd run the team.

Apologies. Just being snarky. I can't stand Passan and always think he has an agenda. My bad.
Was James Click's ouster after a World Series title, unprecedented?
— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) November 11, 2022
Hardly.
Dave Dombrowski was fired eight months after winning the 2018 WS for the #RedSox.
Walt Jocketty was fired one year after winning the 2006 WS for the #STLCards. https://t.co/VYNdkfM0vc

"Certainly, if Crane didn't trust Click during his three-year tenure with several front office executives frequently voicing their complaints about him to Crane he isn't going to trust all of those who Click personally hired."
That's crazy, seems like out of nowhere. I would think we would've heard about this at least once over the last three years.

Get Luhnow on the horn
I appreciate what Lunhow built, but you cannot, cannot cost your team because of poor ethics. It's not just the cheating, it's the moves like Osuna. Brought uncessary heat all in the name of winning.
As Click proved, you can bring good guys in who are just as good, or in many cases better in the pursuit of wining.
Lunhow certainly can find talent in the guys to build an organization, but I don't trust him not to turn a blind eye.

Here's my opinion on it all.Bad timing, bad look, reason for concern? Beats me. But, until he proves to be a Jerry Jones, he's Jim Crane to me.
- Crane has proven to field a winner.
- The two constants since 2011? Crane and Altuve, and they've fueled a hell of a ride.
- Crane navigated the franchise through the scandal and came out a winner with a different GM and coach.
- Crane has spent the money when the right player is available.
- Crane hired Luhnow and Click.

I hate losing more than I like winning.
I don't agree with your argument.

I must say, much of the hand wringing isn't surprising to me on here this afternoon. Lots of traditional handles doing it and some folks I've never seen on here before. But I must say, Farmer, you have surprised me. You are usually the most level headed and thought out poster with facts logic and statistics...maybe because those type of things cant be applied here?
Have faith brother. All will be alright, the ship isn't sinking and we will weather this storm. In no way do I believe Crane would just immediately dump these guys without a plan, and if he did it had to be for a really good reason that he felt it had to change now.
On another note I dont know how any of you can seriously wear those trophy hats and shirts. The hat especially looks like it should be worn with the sticker intact, brim straight, backwards sitting on the top of your head

I do know there are plenty of opportunities to make mistakes or miss opportunities. None of them is likely season-altering, but I like to have every edge possible.
I agree if Crane and Click weren't going to work, sever ties. But, hopefully, there is a plan in place to not miss a beat. Right now all the rumors are Bagwell, Jackson, & Ausmus helping out. If that's true, then there is a problem. I think everyone would agree with that.
I am all for upgrading. I think Sig would be awesome. I am less sold on Stearns, but I could be very wrong.
Many posters on here didn't want Altuve in the 1 hole either.Beat40 said:I think that tweet from Bonda is petty and crappy.Farmer1906 said:HOU posted 112 wRC+ & scored 4.5 runs/game where he hit second. This is cherrypicked and a bad way to evaluate the person who got 60% of the innings for one of the most dominant bullpens ever off scrap heaps. https://t.co/7hrGzKEU44

It reads as Pena was the obvious 2-hole hitter and Click was stupid not to see it. Many, many didn't want Pena in the 2-hole, including many posters here. On paper, it didn't make sense during the season - he was not one of the top 4 hitters on the team.
Also, he didn't force Dusty to bat Pena somewhere else.
And I'm glad the tweet you quoted, Farmer, points that out.
This isn't the take I'm talking about....I was referring to you multiple posts earlier which basically sounded like you thought Minute maid was burning down.Farmer1906 said:Lonestar_Ag09 said:
