But they could call em the "I-35s" and be the scariest team name ever.

If/when the MLB expands to 32, I would think they do 4 divisions of 4 teams in each league. I wouldn't mind dropping all those late night Left coast games from our schedule...
Id counter with SLC getting a team and being with the that group and LV, angels then with the other So cal teams. Ari with Texas and KC, Nashville with braves and flFarmer1906 said:I like it.Kashchei said:

To make it work best, I think 2 teams would need to move. The NL has 5 teams in the west while the AL has 3. One would need to move. (lets say Rockies). I think it also makes some sense to move an AL to NL and not add both expansion teams to the NL. (lets say Rays)
Here is how I would do it.
I think most teams would be happy with it. The Braves would hate it. They'd lose a ton of fans and get a completely new division.

I completely agree that if another team goes into Texas it wont be in Austin or San Antonio but rahter somewhere in between to capitalize on both metros. Really too bad rangerettes already have the Texas terminology because it would work better for central Texas.
I have worked there. Culturally it's a lot different and there are certain aspects of it (like the airport) that leave a lot to be desired, but I I wouldn't judge an entire city on its airport or worst parts (Chicago, Detroit etc.) & I don't think there would be any problems getting players to want to play there.Lonestar_Ag09 said:
Surely you folks advocating for Mexico City have spent time there and experienced it and flew through their airport etc…

While I would never want another MLB team in Texas, the only metropolises bigger than HOU (NY, LA, CHI) have 2 teams each, I don't think MLB will say 200 miles is too close for a team.Lonestar_Ag09 said:My thoughts on your list:Farmer1906 said:
Largest Metros without a team:
- Charlotte - 2.70 M
- Orlando - 2.69 M
- San Antonio - 2.60 M
- Portland - 2.51 M
- Sacramento - 2.41 M
- Austin - 2.35 M
- Las Vegas - 2.29 M
- Columbus - 2.15 M
- Indianapolis - 2.13 M
- Nashville - 2.01 M
- San Jose - 1.95 M
- Virginia Beach - 1.80 M
- Providence - 1.68 M
- Jacksonville - 1.64 M
- Raleigh - 1.45 M
- Oklahoma City - 1.44 M
- Memphis - 1.34 M
- Ehh
- Too close to Tampa which already sucks
- Too close to Houston
- That team already sounds sticky
- no more CA
- Too close to Houston
- Will have the A's
- No
- already a lot around there
- Yes
- no more CA
- ehh
- too small
- see orlando
- raleigh is basicaly durham who has the bulls
- too close to rangers
- trash
Id put two new teams in Nashville and Salt Lake City, if non US then if go Montreal. Mexico City is a polluted trash heap no one would sign there.

Thinking of major cities without teams
Salt Lake- could work, need more teams out west instead of east coast
Austin- yes but as stated Houston and Texas would fight it
New Orleans- no chance in hell
Charlotte- I just don't see it but it's a possibility
Vegas- Yes likely A's
San Jose- possibility
Indianapolis- way too crowded of a region
Portland was mentioned as well which would also make sense.

Mexico City is a terrible idea
It seems that an MLB team in Mexico City would do a lot of damage to the Mexican League. Would that be a consideration in placing a team there?Harry Dunne said:I have worked there. Guys from Venezuela and the Dominican and Cuba would consider Mexico City heaven compared to some of the stuff in their home countries. And the nicest parts of Mexico City are just as nice as any other big city I've ever seen.

Nashville and Vegas 100 percent

Charlotte metro is larger (~700k) and is growing as fast as Nashville metro. I would say they're just as deserving.
Utilityman Brandon Drury and the Los Angeles Angels are in agreement on a two-year, $17 million contract, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN. Drury, 30, won the Silver Slugger at the utility position last year and is the third bat the Angels have acquired this winter.

We could have had Aledmys back for cheaper than that, too. Diaz, presumably is going to become an everyday player...this guy is basically gonna cost more to be a bench guy?
Where have you seen that he's a free agent again? Only report is that they delayed the intro due to medical flag. And yes, it's been talked about for pages.MosesHallRAB04 said:

One theory I have read about his evidence of PED's in a blood panel. Not my theory, just repeating the rumors.Bregxit said:
