How about instead he tell pitchers to stop throwing 2 strike meatballs to Soto.

Because he made him look silly his first AB then IIRC both hits were with 2 strikes. Had him dead to rights and gifted him pitches to hit.

Joe Buck isn't as bad as everyone thinks he is. He's a good guy and yes he is good at what he does or he wouldn't keep getting the call to broadcast the biggest sporting events in the world.
Yes, while it's fun to rib Joe, he is one of the better national broadcast guys out there. Another thing he does well is let the moment happen and doesn't try too much to insert himself into it.



And yes he's a very self aware human. He also has an interesting story about how he almost lost his career to hair implants.

Also, Joe Buck's autobiography is pretty entertaining.

We are spoiled by TK and Blummer, but all things considered, Joe isn't bad. When both sides are annoyed by him, he's doing it right.

You guys going to the game need to rep this thread well.

The crowd last night was a huge letdown. From TV I honestly couldn't tell the difference between last nights crowd and a random weekend crowd during the normal 162.

So how do we attack Strasburg tonight? I haven't watched him a bunch but it looks like he throws a 95-98 mph 4-seam along with a 91 change. He's only allowed 4 ER in 22 innings this postseason with 33 SO and 1 BB. I'm having images of our righties flailing on changeups low and inside.

Just reading that again makes me mad that we didn't do more damage against their bullpen last night.

Going to have to foul off a lot of pitches and defend the zone. This ump likes to call borderline pitches strikes.
