I must admit as we get close to game time a small part of me just wants to play with the kids after dinner and turn the game on around 8 p.m. so I don't have to go pitch by pitch of anguish.

I won't do that, of course, but it is tempting.

I have done it on many attempts with the Aggie football team, but I never expect them to do jack, and I'm never disappointed.

100%. 2017 makes this somewhat house money. But if I have a million house money in Vegas and I bet 500k of it im pretty damn nervous about going home with either 1.5M or 500k.

The Astros have paid their fan debt to me. Being a fan of Houston teams and A&M teams the bar is low. One championship in my lifetime.

Women's Basketball
Track and Field

They are good for a lifetime with me. The bar is lower for Men's basketball, a final four works.

true but it was the best analogy I could come up with.

also I would say that if we only win 1 with this core of players it will feel like we missed out on an elite status of historical greatness.

Plenty of parking for game 2, it was just more expensive. We parked in a garage on Texas and Fannin, right across from the Magnolia. I've paid $10 there in the past, but it was $20 for game 2. Quick walk, though, even for my 6-year old. There were more streets blocked off closer to MMP, but I didn't get close enough in the car to be affected by that.

Not sure why but the Dodger loss last night made me feel better about tonight's game. I'm not sure if it's because the odds of both the favored Dodgers AND favored Astros going down to an underdog is less and maybe it increases our odds of winning this one tonight.

Or

If we do go down tonight at least we won't won't be the only favored club being labeled chokers.

Like I sad Dodgers losing last night had a strange calming effect. Not sure exactly why. Weird.

Managers are biased towards the players that "got them there" and sometimes maybe too much so, but in this case I have a hard time disagreeing. No matter how he's hit (or not hit) the past week, Michael Brantley is one of the best batters this team has. I say let it ride and trust the professional hitter to make the necessary adjustments.
