Can't afford for 1, 2, 3 in the order to go 1-12 many more times... if at all.
A Rod also saying that the Rays have to feel good because they've exposed the Astros as human...iBrad said:
Yes, A-Rod, the Rays have to feel good about going home down 0-2, because they made this one interesting.

Osuna can't handle the playoffs. He was garbage last year against Boston, and he was garbage tonight.

I still don't think this is totally on Osuna. He's only out there trying to do what is manager is asking of him, which is something he hasn't done all year.
He gets the DP ground ball and his defense doesn't turn it. He throws a strike that is called a ball, which would have been 0-2 and then would have stuck the guy out on the next pitch.
I think it was rough for him, but a couple of small things, and he probably gets out of that.
Again, managers in the postseason asking players to do things they are not used to doing and haven't prepared for. Hopefully we don't do that again.
Don't know. Fortunately (or unfortunately), I won't be able to hear them thanks to the game being on Monday at 1 in the afternoon...gambochaman said:
Will we have to suffer thru these same announcers for game 3?
Yeah...and said the series should be tied 1-1 now.AggiEE said:A Rod also saying that the Rays have to feel good because they've exposed the Astros as human...iBrad said:

It took a ****load of random luck/mistakes/ weird **** happening tonight for this game to not be a complete blowout in favor of the Stros
Not to mention two hits, including a clutch RBI that ended up being the winning runAg_07 said:
Machete was a fckn stud tonight.
The strike em out throw em out DP, big at the plate, calling a great game, and blocking like a GD brick wall.

If he can't handle some very mild soreness he doesn't need to be a major league closer.RO519 said:Harry Dunne said:Lotta legit things to complain about. This is about #1,469 on the list.RO519 said:
Osuna has some VERY fresh ink on his left forearm. Why the hell would you get a new tattoo right before the playoffs start?
Stupidity of a pitcher that need to have some sort of a routine. Tattoos take time to heal and don't feel normal until they do. Wait a month and get whatever you want tattooed on your arm, but why change something and put your body through that right before the playoffs?
Its official. Gonna switch to watching on mute and streaming Sparkyspadilly said:gambochaman said:

Tough spot for CFM, facing his old team in an elimination game. Let's stomp his ass.
And our Bullpen will get taxed more, too, since it's unlikely Greinke goes more than 6 or 7.the last of the bohemians said:
Our fielders are going to get more work in the next then last 2 combined
All they really exposed is how hard it is for Osuna to pitch in the 8th and the 9th. And Hinch probably learned that lesson.AggiEE said:A Rod also saying that the Rays have to feel good because they've exposed the Astros as human...iBrad said:

Obviously you're right - it's not the number one smartest thing in the world to do before the playoffs, but you're really reaching for things to complain about.
yes, fans of all sports teams everywhere hate on the national broadcasters. That is the kind of hot take you go "on the record" for.CoachRTM said:
For the record, fans are always critical of the announcers in the postseason - mainly due to the fact that they've been listening to their own team's partisan broadcast all year long.
Yes, they're going to screw up some names, yes they're going to talk about the other team more than we're used to.
That being said - Girardi and AJ are particularly rough since they tend to go into "back when I played" conversations every other at-bat.
