Can't afford for 1, 2, 3 in the order to go 1-12 many more times... if at all.

Greinke vs Morton still goes in our favor, especially since we roughed him up last time.

... unless he channels game 7 CFM mode, then we might be seeing the Urquidy/ Miley situation in Game 4.

Will we have to suffer thru these same announcers for game 3?

I still don't think this is totally on Osuna. He's only out there trying to do what is manager is asking of him, which is something he hasn't done all year.

He gets the DP ground ball and his defense doesn't turn it. He throws a strike that is called a ball, which would have been 0-2 and then would have stuck the guy out on the next pitch.

I think it was rough for him, but a couple of small things, and he probably gets out of that.

Again, managers in the postseason asking players to do things they are not used to doing and haven't prepared for. Hopefully we don't do that again.

Yes, A-Rod, the Rays have to feel good about going home down 0-2, because they made this one interesting.
A Rod also saying that the Rays have to feel good because they've exposed the Astros as human...

It took a ****load of random luck/mistakes/ weird **** happening tonight for this game to not be a complete blowout in favor of the Stros

Osuna can't handle the playoffs. He was garbage last year against Boston, and he was garbage tonight.

He was huge getting Diaz out and stranding two for Cole but he should've been on a short leash after sitting so long.

Agree with this 100%

I'd be really happy if I didn't have to hear Girardi the rest of the post season.

Don't know. Fortunately (or unfortunately), I won't be able to hear them thanks to the game being on Monday at 1 in the afternoon...

Remember when we could never buy a playoff win and Bagwell and Biggio couldn't hit ***** These are fun times folks.

Machete was a fckn stud tonight.

The strike em out throw em out DP, big at the plate, calling a great game, and blocking like a GD brick wall.

If you think Osuna was garbage you're either drunk, weren't paying attention, ignorant of baseball or all of the above.

Yeah...and said the series should be tied 1-1 now.

Mentioned how we scored our last two runs because of the Rays' miscues.

Come on, ARod....Good teams take advantage of their opponents' mistakes. On the flip side, when they do make mistakes, they're able to overcome them.

What a freakin' try-hard.

Tough spot for CFM, facing his old team in an elimination game. Let's stomp his ass.

Not to mention two hits, including a clutch RBI that ended up being the winning run

One of them nailed it when they said 'You have to play perfect baseball to beat this Astros team'.

That's dead on accurate AF.

I hope next games announcers make every comment from the perspective of a catcher with no insight from a pitcher. That was terrific!

The Cy Young really should be a tie this year, if there is some way to rig that

Osuna has some VERY fresh ink on his left forearm. Why the hell would you get a new tattoo right before the playoffs start?
Lotta legit things to complain about. This is about #1,469 on the list.

Stupidity of a pitcher that need to have some sort of a routine. Tattoos take time to heal and don't feel normal until they do. Wait a month and get whatever you want tattooed on your arm, but why change something and put your body through that right before the playoffs?
If he can't handle some very mild soreness he doesn't need to be a major league closer.

Obviously you're right - it's not the number one smartest thing in the world to do before the playoffs, but you're really reaching for things to complain about.

Springer will pick it up. Altuve is always reliable. And Brantley is Brantley.

I'm not worried at all

I actually think it was probably better they pitched Him in the WC game and he gets to pitch at home. I just don't know how the emotions might have been for him if he had started a playoff game in Minute Maid.

And our Bullpen will get taxed more, too, since it's unlikely Greinke goes more than 6 or 7.

We really need the bats to show up on Monday

For the record, fans are always critical of the announcers in the postseason - mainly due to the fact that they've been listening to their own team's partisan broadcast all year long.

Yes, they're going to screw up some names, yes they're going to talk about the other team more than we're used to.

That being said - Girardi and AJ are particularly rough since they tend to go into "back when I played" conversations every other at-bat.

It doesn't help them that everything they said ended up being wrong.

"Steal here!" Easy throw out

"Bunt here!" Bunt attempt fails and ends up getting a base hit.

"Rays could win here!" Strike out ground out game blouses.

All they really exposed is how hard it is for Osuna to pitch in the 8th and the 9th. And Hinch probably learned that lesson.

I didn't have to reach for anything. Why change something and irritate part of your body before a big game or series?

yes, fans of all sports teams everywhere hate on the national broadcasters. That is the kind of hot take you go "on the record" for.
