That's what it should cost but with it buying a seller's market it may have to be a few mid level prospects + Kemp.

We've missed the ultimate goal making deadline deals far more than we haven't.

I don't consider Wheeler to be mediocre.

Summary: He's got a high velocity four seamer (third among starters behind Thor and Cole). High velocity slider (2nd among starters). Also has a hard curveball with good depth, change up, and rarely throws a splitter. Possible room for improvement on how he deploys his slider and curve. His curve has been outstanding all season. He goes deep in games - 7th in innings per start.

My take: this guy would be great to eat up innings down the stretch and could improve with our analytics. He's got the stuff for the Stros to help him take it to the next level.

So, who's going to blink?

My gut tell me we go after Robbie Ray. He's controllable and gives us insurance for next year knowing already we likely lose several arms on the pitching staff.

I feel like the one trade deadline deal is being a player in driving up prices as well. It's capitalism at it's finest.

The players have said they want more parity in the league, well, this is one way to do it. Have one trade deadline and make it early enough in the year where multiple teams feel they're still in the race.
