Nuño’s Notes

Overall Team Assessment

  • Whole new team under coach Bronco Mendenhall, keeping everything secretive with no open practices or released depth charts.
  • Utah State went 4-8 last year but played well for about two-thirds of their opening game vs. UTEP last week.
  • Defense performed solidly throughout the entire game.
  • Offense slowed down in the second half, preventing what could have been a 25-point victory.
