Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and trust what Jeff Luhnow is doing.


I am 100% team trust Luhnow.

But holding onto Tucker right now is starting to seem prideful on his part. It's like he doesn't want to admit the mistake. I don't see Tucker fixing his issues.

If he is the main part of what gets us a #2 type starter, you have to do it.

However, his insistence on keeping Tucker May just be GM speak for leverage right now. But if he's serious about not wanting to deal him that's disappointing to say the least.

That being said, I think we should deal him for the right trade. But the focus on him solely seems silly.

Standing pat with the starters could win a WS for damn sure. But with the bullpen as is, I have a tough time seeing us pulling it off.

We don't have a single reliable guy right now and the playoffs are a whole different beast.

It is not prideful. It is part of transition plan when all of outfielders become free agents in the same year. They have proven they can find undervalued starting pitchers on the market, so I do not think they put as much stock in the Cole will be gone next year idea as us fans. I think they are confident they will be able to replace/mitigate his loss if that were to happen. However, I do not think they are as confident they will be able to absorb the outfielder departures without sufficient minor league talent/depth. Plus, Luhnow knows the percentages and good fortune involved in actually winning a World Series (even favorites entering playoffs usually only have a 20% chance to win WS) so has repeatedly said he will not be a guy who significantly leverages the future to go "all in" for one season.

Has not been good in his career in the minors? He has been good and is still young and one of best prospects in baseball.

Fixing his issues? Tucker has a very limited sample of MLB pitching. His MiLB success up to this point shows nothing but a big time hitter. Don't imply that he's been over blown or not lived up to the hype yet.

The problem with me is that we're keeping Tucker to play in AAA.

I think it's getting to the point where Luhnow either needs to make a spot for him on the big club or trade him.
