Busch Stadium is kind of an old school ballpark.

335 down the lines and 375 to the power alleys. No cheap homers here.

Cardinals rank 11th in the NL in home runs and 13th in slugging

That lineup with Yordan is as good as it gets. Add a solid #2 to sit between Cole and Miley and we have 1, 1a, high 2 and low 2. That's as good a lineup as anyone will trot out. I'll take my chances. So Mr Lunhow, get us a solid #2

He's been doing it for weeks already with Brantley at 4 and Yordan at 5. Has worked out fine.
I think the rule about not going back-to-back with lefties is more applicable in the playoffs where situational pitching changes are much more common.

Since we haven't had many lefties during Hinch's tenure we're not exactly sure how he will play it but I have a feeling he would prefer to split them up rather than give the opposing team the chance to bring in a situational lefty.

To be fair to that ump, he handled Boone's tirade extremely well. Threw him from the game because he crossed a line, but then he let Boone get his money's worth and never looked anything but calm and collected. IIRC his zone was much better after the incident too.

This is an awesome stadium! Sitting out in left center tonight by the Astros bullpen

Lots of cool bars behind the gates, and their street is lined with Cardinals stuff. Wish Minute Maid could do something like that. Reminds me of Wrigleyville

When Urkeeding gets guys on base and gets out of the windup, he's setting up at the wrong angle to the plate. Whatever position he takes to the plate is how he delivers the pitch, and it leads to a lot of pitches outside the zone since he's not quite perpendicular. He needs to set up with his left shoulder straight in line to the plate and he'd get more in the zone. I'm sure Strom will let him know.

This gave me the hilarious visual of it landing on him, him collapsing to ground screaming, and Hinch and training staff running out to him. After 5 mins of laying on the ground screaming for Daniella he gets carted off.
