Correa can't return until July 26th now.

Correa wasnt already on the 60 day IL?

It was thought that he would only be out 5-6 weeks originally.

I gotta admit, I'm really confused about this one. I really thought they'd move Corbin Martin to the 60-day IL and take Joe Smith off of it. Putting Correa on the 60-day makes me wonder if he's had some kind of setback. I really hoped he'd be back sooner. Also, why send down Sneed? They can't be thinking about starting Framber again next time around, can they? They sent our key long relief option down and can't call him up for 10 days, and we'd certainly need him if he's sent back out there again. The only teams he's pitched well against are the BlueJays and Orioles, the 2 worst teams in the AL, if not all of baseball.

Is there any special rule about trading guys when they're on the 60 day IL? If so, I wonder if it's a sign they're considering using Martin as trade bait.

Hinch can bring Sneed back up earlier than 10 days if there is an injury.... the way this team has been going on the injury front (Bregman), Hinch probably realizes he will have an injury before that 10 day timeline

If Bregman goes on IL, I think they'd opt to bring up Mayfield for his versatility until Diaz can get back. Straw for a long time at SS is a scary proposition.

We need better medical staff if they can't snap an XRAy or two and see if he has breaks or not.

I think that's basically it. Valdez will head down in a few days when Peacock returns. In the meantime, Sneed probly wouldn't have been able to pitch anyway.

The word was Correa was a bit behind Diaz. So assume Wednesday or Friday next week for Correa? Maybe week from Monday? The 60 day date seems pretty close, anyway.

Bregman's chin keeps the Big Whiff in the lineup another night. Maybe he'll hit one of those 20 homers he was projected to have!
