It was the "right" decision because it worked. Chirinos has been better than Reddick and it isn't close.

Looks like the entire team outside of Brantley is hungover from the 4th.

4 hits in 6 innings and 3 of the hits are from Brantley. A whole lotta weak contact from everyone else and JV doing what JV does the last month of the season...giving up HRs.

What if it was Josh Reddick (.295) or Edwin Encarnacion (.225) in that situation?


By the way, I pretty much agree with you that BA, in most cases, is still a decent stat to lean on.
