Maybe insignificant in the long term of this season but I think framber is more important than James or devo.

I know his numbers aren't eye popping and he's been in trouble a lot but I like the movement of his stuff and his ability to change speeds of the same pitch (as Blum just mentioned). I think he can be a real asset with multiple pitches as opposed to James/devo if their offspeed pitch isn't working they just pump fastballs up there and get rocked.

Granted might be the last spot in bullpen so probably irrelevant

One thing I've learned, Springer is the most important bat in this line up this year.

I hate losing anytime. But I especially hate losing to sub-500 teams. And not even competing at that.

For some reason whenever we lose a key guy or two, the rest of the lineup starts to slump

I think it's because they start trying to play hero ball at the plate

Just pessimistic.

This team is too good to go through a losing streak of any significance. Plus with JV going every 5 days any losing streak won't last long.

I think it's just a trap series. We came in high from a 10 game streak and coming back from BOS home to play an underperforming team before a weekend series here with BOS again.

Had all the makings for trap and we fell into it. They'll get Springer back and have a packed house this weekend and they'll be fine.

If I had told you to start this series that you would see three great starting pitching exhibitions you would have never guessed that two of them would belong to Chicago.

I know we won't win every game, but no offense against below average pitching is a very frustrating way to lose ball games.

I wonder if there is a chance that Brady Rodgers gets the start next Tuesday against the Cubs instead of Corbin Martin. Martin doesn't have a quality start in his 3 appearances. His first start was good but he only went 5 1/3 so it isn't considered "quality". He followed that up with a 4 IP start and then a 3 1/3 IP start tonight.
