Well it was fun y'all.

3 threads. 2 ALCS wins. 2 World Series. 1 Chanpionship.

I challenge someone to do better. Who wants it?

Swing at ball 4.

Either that or be that guy who watched strike 3 in game 7 of a World Series. Bad take!

I mean seriously that's baseball.

Greinke goes 6+ with 2 hits and 1 then the BP blows it.

No way I would've predicted that.

Nats just best us. They played better ball.

Congrats to the Nationals. The just were the better team in the 7 games. Both teams had their chances and Washington was the team that took advantage of theirs.

Sadly, this was the pivot point. Too much hubris and arrogance and not enough substance to be a champion this year.

Bull***** Juan Soto upstaged this and even more repeatedly.
Juan Puto backed it up with his bat.

Bregman only had hubris and empty promises.

Bregman and AJ have some soul searching to do.

I got no beef with anyone else.

Greinke trade was worth it, we just blew it.
Verlander?

Verlander was gassed after a long Cy Young season. You can't blame him. He's old. His body just broke down.

Hopefully the strike zone is automated next year.

I can't wait to see the "called incorrect" chart for this one.

That's not why we lost

We lost because the offense couldn't get runners home and the BP shlt itself.

You're reading things I didn't write.

so the Astros went 0-4 in Strasburg & Scherzer starts.

the Nationals went 3-1 in JV & Cole starts.

that was not the plan when the series started

Can't believe we gave up 4 prospects to get Greinke only to pull him after 1 bad pitch in G7 of the WS while he was dealing a gem.

I feel bad for him.

Greinke probably should have been given the chance to face another batter, but it wasn't just one bad pitch. He walked the next batter as well.

JV was instrumental in getting us to the big dance...but jeezus...wtf in the WS!?

He deserves to have Kate strap on a big one and punish him with it

Honestly this game was lost when the Astros failed over and over in the early innings to break it wide ass open. The story of the whole playoffs. The batted ball bad luck, lack of sequencing, whatever you wanna call it was truly unbelievably bad. It was a damn miracle we made it to the last game.

I don't care what anyone says about Soto. He plays with confidence and isn't afraid of the big moments. He singlehandedly won the first 2 games. That dude is ice cold. If he has to do the Soto Shuffle to get himself pumped for at bats then so be it. It's working

Disappointing end to a great season. Lot of wins, but missing that special something that makes champions.

I went to spring training, regular season games, road games, playoff games. Enjoyed sharing it with all of you guys. Keep your heads up!

I agree in that the Astros seldom played great baseball in their 18 postseason games.

the offense was hit & miss the entire playoffs

He only walked Soto because of a completely bogus 2-1 ball called. Then you don't give Soto anything to hit and move on. Then our witless leader Hinch panicked.

His postseason performance leads me to believe that he wouldn't consider that punishment. More likely just a typical Saturday night.

No, that's not just baseball.

Anyone watching could see ZG had everything going for him. He threw one bad change up that went yard. He pitched around Scroto and got pulled for it.

Garbage

It also apparently drops the bottom out of the strike zone somehow. Although he does tend to be too busy dancing like Zoidberg to swing at anything sinking away.

I can't wait for all those post bumps from the so called loyalists after we won game 7... oh, wait, we **** our pants.

Give me a break... cling on to the fact that you posted on here all year long as if that is some badge of honor and you're "better" than most fans. We choked and they were not the better team. This game was ours but we failed to own it.

Yeah, I agree with premium on this one. Soto is a major showboat and the "baseball gods" appeared to reward him mightily though out this series.

He's far more talented that Puig. His pitch selection as a rookie is greater than Puig's has ever been. He's also (surprisingly) FAR less emotional.
