It's a good trade for both sides, but people are sleeping on JD Davis. He wasn't going to get a chance here, but I think he's going to be a solid major leaguer.

I love how we are constantly winning trades. I have a lot of trust in the front office.
Even if everything you said is right, that still doesn't necessarily make it a bad trade for them. The odds of even the more talented guys in A ball ever even making it to the majors are very slim. A guy who kills AAA pitching, already has a couple of years getting his feet wet in the majors and is in line for a lot of major league ABs this year has a solid shot of contributing. He may never become an everyday player, but if he makes any sort of positive impact at all for the Mets, it might end up being a net win for them.Farmer1906 said:PSully97 said:

Why is it a good trade on their sides? Davis has looked terrible in the bigs ( limited ABs) and he'll he 26 next year. The odds he turns into an everyday player are very slim.
it's a far cry from the Purpura days and the annual fleecing-of-Ed-Wade daysSlimAG2 said:

I'll be in charge of questioning why tony kemp isn't in the lineup...well because i do it every time the guy isn't in the lineup. I lost my mind when he didn't make the roster last year out of spring training so I'll just keep running with that.
Give me a lineup with our best hitters and kemp in the 8 or 9 hole. Toughest AB on the team outside of Bregman.
Don't like his arm? put him in left field permanently..done.
Don't like his path to the baseball? Screw you it could be Biggio or Carlos Lee out there.
Think he's an attention *****e? I don't like you if you have that opinion
I love Tony, but...

Look at how badly Tucker is missing that pitch in the second pic. Solid foot minimum.

I once sat behind Ed Wade and his wife at a game. She was a disgusting thing to look at. My dad told me "If thats the best looking woman he could convince to marry him, imagine how bad our free agent hauls will be"

I think it must more valuable to have more guys that can hit. Between the starting 3, Kemp, & Tucker you might have 5 above average hitting outfielders.
