Pretty weak balk call. His footwork was just about what you'd draw up as a pitching coach. Maybe a bad camera angle?

Not sure why Hickory isn't included. Not sure if they'll pick up Spokane this summer.

It's a glitch or it'll be there with more games. Look at past years and they'll have everyone.

If only they had a hat with that bat swinging duck in a color that wasn't khaki. Still might get one with just the duck head though.

So some Rangers people are indicating on twitter it looks like Odor is headed to the DL. If that's the case, I would assume we get an extended look at Profar at 2nd. It will be interesting to say the least if he plays well there. I think he's certainly better defensively than Odor.

Hopefully we can get some of Profar from 2016, when he hit over .300 in his first 50 games.

I don't know why I keep hanging on, but I really want Profar to succeed here. I hope he makes the most of this opportunity.

Profar has shown flashes in the past. Hopefully playing every day as a middle infielder, his natural position, will help him relax and produce.

You know we suck bad when most of the talk lately has been about the Dilly Dog and $1 dog night. Now I know what Astros fans went through for so long, but at least they won the WS last year.

Minor, Profar, Gallo. The future. Hopefully, Guzman and Calhoun will join soon.

As if he hasn't already had several "put up or shut up" opportunities over the years already, it's definitely that time for Profar now.

That would be one option. I don't really see why we are keeping Chavez. LeClerc got sent down and he has better stuff. At the moment we have two long relivers: Chavez and Colon. Colon is pitching better, at the moment anyway. Moore hasn't been good for several years, but we are on the hook for $9 mil, so they are cutting him this early.

In other news, ran across the lineup for tonight. Profar in the two hole, so we will see if he can produce at the top of the lineup.

At the time, it was noted the best two options to send down were Leclerc and Bush because they had options remaining.

Leclerc could be sent down with no issue.
Bush could be sent down with only the issue of how he would respond.
It is believed Colon would be lost if they tried to DFA. I believe that would still be the case.
I agree... I'm not sure the value of Chavez.
I'm not sure how Moore would work. If they DFA... if that is the case someone could claim him. I think the distinction I'm not sure of is... I believe if we release him, then we owe the remainder of his contract, less Minimum Wage paid by anyone who picks him up for 2018. I think he would be more of trying to DFA him... in which case he would likely be able to Opt-Out and then I'm not sure how that works.
