Yup, this about sums up our offense with RISP in 2018

One of the keys to the season -> Cole Hamels establishing some trade value is off to a rip-roaring start. Teams gotta be chomping at the bit for an old guy whose ERA and average inmings pitched per outing are the same.

11 games in and we have a better record than the Dodgers. When do playoff tickets go on sale?

Hamels might need to be in an 8 man rotation.

I think Hamels is done with the Rangers.

Similar to Lucroy, last season. Maybe how Verlander was with Detroit.

Verlander had a 4.73 ERA (18GS) the 1st Half of 2017. Somebody must have told him he was going to be stuck in Detroit, if he didn't start pitching. He pitched 1.95 ERA the last 15 GS.

Verlander Hamels was very outspoken about a 6 Man rotation. With the Rangers putting up a 6-Man at AA, A+ and A, they sent the signal about their seriousness. In addition, like Beltre, they expect the team to put a good pool of talent on the field. The Rangers didn't do that.

Those are some pretty good stats by Payano, Matuella, Bremer and Alexy! Remember Alexy is the guy we got from the LAD for Darvish! 19 year old 11thRd in 2016.

New Food Review from Saturday night:

1. The hot dog inside a pickle inside a corny dog sucked.
2. Garlic fries still good as ever.
3. Sweet potato tots were ~meh~
4. Landshark is, unfortunately, still the stand craft beer on the Lexus Club Level.

Tonight, I go back to the snowballs, which are brisket inside of funnel cake with powered sugar and bbq sauce. Or maybe the ham fries.

I pretty much stick to the basics. Did the Triple B on opening day, and the thing is just too damn big to eat normally. Ballpark food shouldn't have to be cut into pieces. It's like those burger places that put so much **** on the burger you can't actually take a bit out of it without 90% of it falling out.

Also waited 20 minutes in line for the waffle cone pretzel ice cream thing only to be told that they were out of cones.

Dollar hot dog and fries are still the two best things at the ballpark.

I don't know, but this is the ideal ballpark special kind of food IMO. It toes the line between "this might be insanely good" and "who thought of this, this is an abomination."

Yes. Of all the over the top stuff the Rangers roll out each year, this is the best of all (imho).

I have never been a fan of the "OMG IT'S GIANT" stuff (boom stick was a novel idea, then it became "let's make huge stuff"). None of the Cheetos things ever were very good (the kimchi cheeto hog dog was vile).

but those Texas Snoballs are the real deal.
