Finally beat the Giants last night

Braves got shelled by the Giants. I listened to the first few innings. It sounded like Teheran was having a blister issue.

Seems like the downward spiral has begun.

Uggla starts today for the first time since May 6. Batting 9th

Braves won after 9th inning rally. Up .5 in the East. Still have to be very concerned with our chances this year.

Bats showed up tonight. Beat the 1st place Brewers 9-3.

Teheran tossed CG shutout.

And Pena got on base twice.

Uggla got the start as well. Johnson with 3 hits. We need him to get it going.

Braves beat Rockies. Uggla got the start again. 0-3 with 3K's. Did walk and score a run.

Johnson had a "tantrum" in the tunnel and was removed from the game for Pena. Floyd with a solid start. Laird with 2 RBI's.

Red Sox come back to beat Braves 8-6. Its bad at this point when you give up 8 runs to the Red Sox.

Tommy La Stella called up. Should be in the lineup tonight. Uggla will remain on the roster though. I'm thinking the Pastornicky experiment may be over.

I think so too. Pastornicky's been performing like Uggla but without the seniority or contract numbers to keep him hanging around. I always rooted for him but he just can't seem to be a consistent hitter at the MLB level.

We really need our bullpen to find its footing. Been a rough week for them.

We need to shake up the coaching staff or something. Perhaps its time for Walker to go. Its ridiculous to be this poor of a team with the roster we have. Fredi needs to get it together or it will have to be his head.

Calling up Shae Simmons. Unknown who is getting sent down.

Simmons may be great, but unless he can hit too I don't see this as changing the team.

Braves got a GREAT one in the second round.

Braves just beat the Rockies 13-10.

Braves drop the next two to the Rockies. The game yesterday got a bit more interesting as Laird got clipped by a backswing, and the Carpenter hit the batter. Carpenter was ejected right away. The Rockies manager was then ejected for arguing (which I don't know what he was upset about as Carpenter was tossed). Next inning Gattis get hit in his arm and the Colorado RP and Bench coach are ejected.

If Carpenter/The Braves felt that Dickerson needed to be hit so be it. And I don't blame the Rockies for hitting Gattis in return. In both cases the throw wasn't high at anyone's head. What I don't really understand is why Weiss was so upset to the point of getting tossed.

Gattis is not the one I would choose to hit!

Braves beat Angels last night on Sunday night baseball. La Stella has been solid since coming up. Currently up 1 game on Nats and Marlins.

Floyd broke a bone in his elbow last night. Unknown how long he'll be out. Braves did beat the Nats though.

Beat the Gnats again, in extras this time. Gattis has a nineteen (I think) game hit streak going and drove in the winning run tonight.

Wife surprised me with a day trip to see game 3 with our 1 year old. It was a blast. Too bad the Braves lost.
