Braves win on walk off shot by Gattis. Kimbrel blew the save. Got to be a bit on concern there. Another great start by a Braves SP.
Braves fall 1-0 to Marlins. Tough loss for Wood who pitched well. Wood is now 2-3 despite an ERA of 1.54 and a WHIP of .97.
Fernandez is certainly a great pitcher, but the Braves offense has been too quiet too often early this year.

Braves beat Marlins on yet another strong Harang start. 11K's in 6 innings. Gattis with a PH 2 RBI double to put the Braves ahead. Kimbrel with the save.
Starting pitching has been incredible to start the season, and Minor (and maybe others? there were so many pitching injuries in spring training I lost track of who is out and how long) will return soon to strengthen the rotation even more.
Mike Minor was supposed to be back to start this Saturday against the Reds, but they decided to give him one more start in the Minors. He will start for AA on Friday and apparently he could make his first start of the season for the Braves on April 30 against the Marlins.

Hale with a great start today as the Braves have taken the first two from Cinci. Going to be hard to drop a SP when Minor gets back.
Freeman with the 10th inning walk off and the Braves sweep the Reds.
This pitching has been unreal. It's a good thing too, because it's covering for a very inconsistent offense. Justin Upton, Freeman, Gattis and Simmons have been great, but 3 of the 8 regulars are around the Mendoza line, and Chris Johnson is not much better. Really need Uggla, Heyward, CJ and BJ to get it going. The pitching will come back down to earth eventually.

Got shut out by Fernandez and the Marlins for the second time in a week last night. Man that guy is unreal. I'm not really a fan of Fredi's decision to bench half our starting line-up though. Anyone else agree? Sure they didn't strike out as much as the first game but when you sit both Uptons, Johnson and Uggla that's like running out a Sunday afternoon lineup.

Braves sign CJ to a 3 yr 23.5 mil deal with fourth year option
Not crazy about the extension. I worry this could be Uggla 2.0.
At least CJ has already played a solid season for the Braves.
I'm a bit nervous as well that we might be buying high. Hope it works out. I'm not opposed to this like I was the Texiera trade.
Braves fall to Giants to drop 4th straight. Minor gave them a chance in his first start back, but only 1 run on 8 hits and 5 walks for the Braves. We really need to get the offense going.

Three games. Three runs. What a joke
Lineup changes today. Uggla benched and Harang batting 8th were the highlights I saw.
I don't think Pena is a solution either but perhaps he can prove me wrong.
Without reviewing last year's stats, I seem to remember Pena being a really good fill in when needed.
And now we hit 7 in a row
And I like him as a fill in guy. Not sure how he'll do long term but at this point it doesn't hurt to try.
I don't see Pena as the answer either. Tommy La Stella is the next second baseman, but I hope people don't set their expectations too high for him. He should be a nice player, but probably not a perennial all star type. I just wonder how long they wait to call him up.

Floyd with a good debut. Our pitchers better hold the other team to 1 run every game to give us the chance to win...............
Couldn't have asked for a much better first start for Gavin Floyd. I was very impressed, especially for a guy making his first start after coming back from Tommy John surgery. I might be tempted to keep him in the rotation and put Alex Wood back in the bullpen.

That's 18 runs scored over the last 10 games. I don't even know what you change at this point. The pitcher batting eighth gimmick isn't working. This is a bad offensive team, but they shouldn't be this bad.
Won the first 2 games against the Cubs. Looking for the sweep today. Pitching continues to dominate and the offense continues to struggle.
