The entire situation is absurd. Theres a reason an average American family of 4 can't realistically afford/justify going to a game anymore. To each his own but that's why I watch the games from home. The networks are overpaying, and the owners and players are making an absurd amount of money
And yet, the NBA just broke its attendance record for the 3rd straight year, as well as the average attendance.
These statements you are making just aren't true.
People go to the games, and they watch it on tv. Attendance is up, so the product doesn't suck.
Sponsors put their product in front of all those people watching. They pay good money to the league to do so, and they make good money from it or they wouldn't waste their time/money.
The league and players get together once a decade and hash out how they want to split up the empire.
"Absurd" you say? It's absurd that anyone can't fathom why players get paid so much. It's simple.
Now, if you're just poorly trying to say that you're insanely jealous of these dudes getting paid out the ass for being 6'8" and having a 40" vertical, I can get on board with that. Being a short white boy is rough when ball is life.
