I know it's summer league but damn he balled out. He has made a ton of progress as a shooter since his time at A&M.
There was a lot of discussion about Alex Caruso's NBA prospects on the basketball board. A lot of skepticism about his chances, but many of us also agreed that he was definitely athletic enough to belong on an NBA court, had good size at 6'5", plus a bunch of intangibles like very good court vision, ultra quick hands and knack for getting steals, and A+ character and work ethic.
Many seem to feel his chances getting an NBA contract largely came down to his outside shooting (as you mentioned). Whether he could improve it enough to put together a complete package. He shot about 40% from three in D-League last season and when he takes advantage of opportunities to show how well he can play like last night, I certainly get more optimistic about him at least getting on a training camp roster this fall.
