Lebron should hold his head high, he played phenomenal. Not much you can do against a team with 4 all stars, 2 mvps. How durant is happy about this I have no idea. Would feel guilty for winning it this way
Eh, KD played awesome, and this clinching win was almost all on him. 39/7/5 on 70% shooting? Unreal.

Folks can crap on KD all they want for his decision. But the dude has been effing huge this series. Coattail rider he's not.

He finally gets to be in a position for his talents to be most recognized, as he's not asked to be the leader or the face of the franchise. So all he has to worry about are jump shots and crazy athletic dunks.

Different type of player. Not begrudging him at all. People are wired differently. Just like the folks who criticize LeBron when he makes the right basketball decisions late in games and people think yes afraid of the moment. He's not afraid of the moment, he's just not a chucker like Kobe.
He wasn't always making the right decisions. Sometimes you have to realize you are THE GUY on your team.

no doubt KD played great, but the way he won it by joining a 73-9 team will overshadow his performance forever

Except playing for Golden State he gets to be the guy but without the pressures of being the guy. KD could have been out all year and the warriors still make the finals.

If he's off or being stymied, curry can go 30+ a night and Klay can go for 30 in a quarter.

Different ball game. He went to the one team that would mean zero pressure, but still allow him to thrive. And again, no hate. Not everyone is built the same way. But that's the truth.

Sounds like you and Magnolie are just mad that Harden never panned out the same way. Those are some petty complaints.

No it won't. To you and others like you, maybe, but to the rest of the world, Durant was the best player on a great team and won a championship.

fact of the matter is most loyal NBA fans like myself know that KD is a snake, the way he won it was pathetic and it will overshadow him foreve. The rest of the world especially the bandwagon fans in the phillipines wont care but Americans will

what would everyones opinion be if LeBron went to Golden State, and he makes enough off court, and could easily win 3, 4, more titles. you know the answer. Biggest puss move ever by KD. you dont go to the team you cant beat.

How can you possibly know that? Do you have the results of a worldwide poll? Are you a mind reader?
Are you the world's greatest expert on the thought process of NBA fans? Give me a break. You are butthurt to the max, man. Maybe you take the NBA a little too personal. You seem like a guy who would want to fight someone in a bar for not having your same opinion about the 98 Knicks.

Well I can say I watched about 2 minutes of actual game time this entire series. Least competitive post season overall in a while. 73 win team adds 2nd best player in league; wins finals. No one saw it coming.

Yep. I watched a little of game 3, a half of game 4, and a half of game 5. Other than that, didn't watch any NBA playoffs this year for more than 5 minutes, or casually paying attention from a distance at a bar.

NHL destroyed NBA this year with excitement in the playoffs

Sorry to interrupt the pissing fight, but I'd like to point out that KD ended up averaging 35/8/5 and LeBron 34/12/10. Truly spectacular performances by both players.

No you wouldn't. You like to say you would because it makes you feel superior. But you wouldn't feel guilty at all if you were in his position. He followed the example that people who were successful set out before him. Do what's best for you.

He was drafted by Seattle, and the billionaire owner wouldn't spend a few million on a new stadium, so the team left. Then that team traded James Harden, because another wealthy person wanted to avoid the luxury tax. He was tired of playing the style they played in OKC with Westbrook. He was given an opportunity to join a group that plays pretty phenomenal team basketball.

His decision made so much sense, was a complete no-brainer, and people that say he's a ***** have absolutely no idea what it's like to be in the position he's in.

If any player can just get on the best team and win and STILL get individual credit for it, the league is over. Basketball is dead. There is absolutely no reason why Chris Paul shouldn't get on the Warriors. And Anthony Davis whenever his contract is up. Every single star should just be on the Warriors. Its rational and they play so beautifully. So why not? NBA is done as meaningful league or remotely competitive league.

  • Golden State didn't need him, but Durant still more than pulled his weight.
  • It's not a BS title, though it probably deserves an asterisk due to the ridiculous 2 year increase to the salary cap (which GS managed to time perfectly). The salary rules don't normally allow teams to amass the talent that GS has.
  • The worst part, though, is we have to put up with this screwed-up-salary, cheat code team for another year.

With or without the salary increase, the floodgates are open now. The media is going to shower Durant with praise forever. He's cemented his legacy as an all time great in the public/expert view. For anyone who's already gotten paid and has endorsements, why wouldn't they take less money or mid level exceptions for a championship? Again everyone is going to give these guys individual credit for winning theses titles. So the Warriors roster should have Chris Paul and Blake coming off the bench and have Jimmy Butler as their 12th man. They all will get individual credit and praise for winning championships. So why not take less money and win?

What do you mean they didn't need him? This would've been much more competitive if they didn't have KD...Cleveland probably would've won imo
